A Virtual Drum may be selected to synchronize or stagger the Projects in the Pipeline for this Portfolio in the Dynamic Drum. The Virtual Drum chosen can be used as the Drum Resource instead of selecting the Suggested Resource Type as the Drum Resource.
Note: Users can override and select any Resource Type as the Drum Resource from the list displayed in the Dynamic Drum utility..
It may be preferable to add a Virtual Drum in certain environments with:
- specific space limitations (e.g. confined spaces) or
- complex integration points (e.g. Assembly points, final inspection points, testing lab etc.)
Example: Resource Type: Architect 1
IMPORTANT: There is no connection between the Resource Count and the number of Users in an account,
since not all Resource Types are required to be a User.
Add additional Resources Types available to work on all Projects for this Account at a later stage.
Edit a Resource Type: Click the Edit button to edit the Resource Type.
