How to schedule a single resource holidays/periods not available. #
For example, a resource away for five weeks, and how does that reflect in the Pipeline?
There is a method for a single Resource Type (RT) extended period away and unavailable to work.
– Schedule this RT on a future date, a ‘fictitious’ single Task project for the five weeks.
– Run the DRUM and move this RT Project to the correct positioning “ACCEPT” the Drum Schedule.
– This action effectively blocks the period, and this RT will not be allocated to work during the five weeks as it is effectively occupied.
– Remember to select this RT as one of the RTs in the Multi-RT Drum Selection.
