Costing and Budget Flow

Exepron provides basic Costing / Budgeting functionality and data capability for:

  • Detailed Project Cost Tracking and Reporting Planned and Actual.
  • Rapid Project Quoting and Pricing.
  • Providing two-way Cost data exchange with 3rd party accounting, financial, and data analytics packages.

 

Project Cost and Budget Flow

Follow this flow sequence to set up Exepron’s Cost and Budget capability.

 

 

Units of Consumption by Resource Type (RT)

In Settings / Units, add customized Units required for  Resource Type Consumption.

 

 

Create Cost Group Names Ready for assignment to Resouce Types.

In Settings / Cost Group, create the Cost Groups to which individual Resource Types will belong.

Examples might include Subcontractors, raw Materials, Labor, Administration, etc.

 

In Setting / Resource Type

Create and add Resource Types (RT).

Click the (+) icon and add the following data to the popup View Screen:

  • Add Resource  Types;
  • assign Resource  Type Quantity;
  • Resource  Type Manager;
  • default Rate per Unit;  Std. Unit;
  • Cost Group;
  • Fixed or Variable Cost.

 

 

Assign Resource Types to Tasks.

On each Task, Exepron requires the allocation of at least one Resource Type:

  • Allocate the Planned number of Resource Types to the Task.
  • Add the Planned Resource Consumption Units expected to complete the Task.
  • Add Actual Resource Consumption Units that are consumed during Project Execution.

 

Click the RED button on the Planning PERT Task card.

Any Task Card with missing information or missing dependency will display with a red halo until the missing information is add.

 

 

Tracking Cost and Resource Type Unit Consumption.

Exepron provides two main reports displaying the Unit Consumption and Costing.

These reports are available at the Portfolio level for all Projects in a single report.
Also, at the Project level for a single Project. Users can export these reports into a CSV file or spreadsheet for further analysis.

Project Dashboard / Project Reports / Resource Type Consumption.
This report carries no financial data and is helpful to Users without Finacial Permission to view the Planned Units and view Actual Units consumed on a Task.

Project Dashboard / Project Reports / Cost Summary.
This report carries the financial data and is helpful to Users with Finacial Permission to view the Planned Units plus Costs and view Actual Units consumed plus Costs on a Task.
